Blog Editor’s Note: Last March, a report by the non-profit C4ADS revealed that, among other things, GPS/GNSS disruption can be detected by unclassified civilian sensors in low earth orbit.

Since then, we have been big advocates for establishment of a global picture of this disruption as a way to help protect the safety of navigation and aviation across the globe. There are several government agencies that have duties to warn users about GPS disruptions regardless of where they occur.

We have spoken with a couple and hope that one or more of these agencies will leverage this capability and provide such warnings.
