What’s new: RNT Foundation President Dana A. Goward met with FCC Commissioner Trusty and staff recently to discuss global and national PNT policy.

Why it’s important: The FCC has three dockets, that we know of, that deal entirely or in part with PNT policy.

What else to know:

  • The theme of the meeting was the same as September’s  PNT Leadership Summit – “How do we protect America’s GPS and PNT?” See discussion outline in the link below.
  • While all the commissioners are appointed by the President, the commission is not part of the executive branch. It is an independent agency, primarily responsible for executing its mandate under the law. It is lightly “supervised” and ultimately reports to Congress.

What Can YOU Do? How Can YOU Help?

PNT is the quiet backbone of everything but too many leaders still don't see the risk.

But you do. You understand the systems, the dependencies, the failure chains. That insight is rare — and it's exactly what your country needs right now. Contact your government leaders and industry decision-makers and tell them resilient PNT isn't a feature — it's the foundation everything else depends on.
