Car GPS Shield

Blog Editor’s Note; If you don’t want to give up your car’s electrical outlet to power your GPS jammer, this new device uses the On Board Diagnostic (OBD) port. We like that the vendor is very careful to explain the limitations of the equipment. It only impacts L1,and it doesn’t  jam your cell phone. Of course, it might interfere with a nearby cell tower you are trying to use, but never mind that.

Thanks to Mark Dumville for pointing this out on Linkedin. If you are not aware of Mark’s work detecting and characterizing GNSS interference with the STRIKE3 project, check it out at http://www.gnss-strike3.eu/ They have detected hundreds of thousands of interference events, 50,000+ deliberate interference events, and identified 300 jammer families. All with very limited sampling.

What Can YOU Do? How Can YOU Help?

PNT is the quiet backbone of everything but too many leaders still don't see the risk.

But you do. You understand the systems, the dependencies, the failure chains. That insight is rare — and it's exactly what your country needs right now. Contact your government leaders and industry decision-makers and tell them resilient PNT isn't a feature — it's the foundation everything else depends on.
