An Australian prototype to rapidly pinpoint attempts to jam or fake global positioning system signals for infrastructure such as airports is expected to be ready for market next year.

The system has been under ­development by the Australian Centre for Space Engineering Research at the University of NSW, the University of Adelaide and GPSat Systems Australia.
