What’s new: Rarely seen spoofing activity in the interior of China on the 20th of January.
Why it’s important: We aren’t really sure, except that it is unusual. If it was near a conflict zone, or along the coast where there are likely to be embargoed oil shipments or some other covert activity it would be more understandable. This was just west of Beijing.
What else to know:
- It could be accidental spoofing or some accidental RF interference that manifest as spoofing.
- Thanks to Jeremy Bennington of RNTF member Spirent Communications for pointing this out on his LinkedIn feed!
