What’s new: Inside GNSS discusses Locata CEO Nunzio Gambale’s presentation at September’s PNT Leadership Summit and follows up with an interview.

Why it’s important: Nunzio’s comments are on-point, as always. We especially like “make PNT great again”! It speaks directly to the need for (1) the U.S. to refocus on the basics, and (2) recognize that PNT is really basic.

What else to know:

  • There are a lot of gems in this article. If we were to pick out all the great maxims and soundbites, we would be repeating virtually the whole thing. Well done Inside GNSS and Nunzio!
  • We are hard pressed to find anything to disagree with. Though, we do observe that both governments and users have responsibilities.
    • Governments must provide their citizens a core resilient PNT architecture that includes at least one sovereign source of PNT.
    • Users must ensure (a) their governments provide the core architecture, and (b) their individual applications are supported by sufficient PNT equipment and sources to support their needs.
  • Locata is a member/supporter of the RNT Foundation.

The New PNT Reality

What Can YOU Do? How Can YOU Help?

PNT is the quiet backbone of everything but too many leaders still don't see the risk.

But you do. You understand the systems, the dependencies, the failure chains. That insight is rare — and it's exactly what your country needs right now. Contact your government leaders and industry decision-makers and tell them resilient PNT isn't a feature — it's the foundation everything else depends on.
