This message was reinforced by speakers from the Department of Defense, Department of Transportation, Department of the Treasury and the Department of Homeland Security at a seminar held at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday.

The first CRADA partners were the Coast Guard and UrsaNav. The US government decided to build an eLoran system last year. This effort was given greater urgency after minor GPS system errors at the end of January caused faults with a number of applications around the globe.
