What’s new: Increasing GPS disruption in the Baltic. – 85% of flights impacted. Communications infrastructure, and maritime also feeling impacts.
Why its important:
- Reduced safety margins all around, degraded technologies, etc.
- We used to say “someone is going to get hurt,” but then the Russians accidentally killed 38 people on Christmas Day. Now, unfortunately, it has to be “more people are going to get hurt.”
What else to know:
- Considering what had become the norm, “increasing disruption” is really saying something.
- More people are going to get hurt.
