What’s New: A report from the most recent beneficiary of the Royal Institute of Navigation’s Professor David Last Fund.
Why It’s Important: Encouraging development of PNT professionals is key to the success of the community and all the many technologies and applications that depend upon PNT. The fund enables promising students to attend conferences like ENC and interact with practicing professionals and other students.
What Else to Know:
- Prof. David Last was a pillar of the PNT community, founding member of the RNT Foundation, long-time advisor, and a great friend. His passing in 2019 left a permanent gap in the international community.
- We helped the Royal Institute of Navigation establish a fund in his memory to enable students to attend navigation related conferences and symposia.
