What’s New: Circle spoofing, previously only observed in receivers aboard ship and on land, is now being observed in aviation. Here are depictions of aircraft receivers being spoofed off course, and then into reporting they are flying in a circle.

The first set  is from the 25th of December and the second is from today, the 7th of January. Thanks to Zach Clements at UT’s Radionavigation Lab for all!

Why It’s Important: More evidence that interference with aviation receivers is growing in frequency and in the types of interference being experience.

What Else to Know:  We have no idea what this means other than things are continuing to get worse!

What Can YOU Do? How Can YOU Help?

PNT is the quiet backbone of everything but too many leaders still don't see the risk.

But you do. You understand the systems, the dependencies, the failure chains. That insight is rare — and it's exactly what your country needs right now. Contact your government leaders and industry decision-makers and tell them resilient PNT isn't a feature — it's the foundation everything else depends on.
