Blog Editor’s Note: In a very interesting presentation to the PNT Advisory Board recently, Mr. Ed Powers of the US Naval Observatory discussed several topics:

- Alternatives to GPS time
- GPS Rollover Week Issues
This last item provided new information for many of the attendees about the possible failure of some receivers as they come the the end of the current GPS epoch in April of 2019.
